Our Team
Shane Schlatter
Shane has a passion for working with the community and has done so as a youth and outreach pastor in the Southwest Louisville area since 2007. As a testament to his commitment to helping others, Shane was selected to participate in the DeVos Leadership Initiative (DVULI). He graduated from this intensive 15-month faith-based leadership development program for urban youth workers in early 2023. Each year, approximately 60 leaders from five select U.S. cities are accepted. He had also served as a supervisor and manager in distribution centers for over ten years. He wants every person to be given an opportunity to succeed regardless of previous experiences or backgrounds. His position with Exodus Family Ministries allows a platform to be a “doer of the word” through services and actions that demonstrate the love of Christ.

Executive Director
Bud Daunhauer
Exodus Family Ministries is blessed to have several committed volunteers who are instrumental in the mission of the organization. One of them is Bud Daunhauer who assists Shane in operations and administration and is instrumental in leading Bible studies for interested people for the organization. Since he was a young man, Bud has been a constant reader and has taught himself to problem-solve, research, and remain open-minded. This discipline has prepared him for ministering lessons to those who are as hungry for understanding God’s word as he is.

Jackie Parks
After leaving the nursing home industry after 31 years, Jackie was looking to find God’s purpose for her. When she was introduced to the Clothes Closet at Exodus Family Ministries and learned of the great need in the community, she decided to get involved. She continues to volunteer her time as the director of the Clothing Closet and helps in other areas as well since the organization is continually growing. She feels the organization holds many of the same beliefs as she does in wanting to serve others. and help those in need.

Katie Button
We are thrilled to announce that Katie Button, MSSW, CSW has joined the Exodus Resource Center as our case manager. Katie will provide in-depth assistance to clients who are ready to take the needed steps to secure housing. A 2011 graduate of the UofL Kent School of Social Work, Katie has spent her career providing case management services to older adults. She and her husband have a heart for the unhoused, though, and she is eager to walk alongside individuals as they work toward self-sufficiency. She feels blessed to join our ministry and to help our clients see that where they are now does not define them. God has big plans for them!
Katie will also be instrumental in helping Exodus develop the programs we’ll offer in our new learning center. If you are interested in teaching a class such as financial literacy, resume writing, interviewing skills, personal hygiene, household cleaning/repair tips, credit repair, or other life-skills courses, please contact Katie at 502.614.8544 x105 to discuss ideas.

Before joining our staff, Jason was recognized as Volunteer of the Month for his positive attitude, friendly spirit, and constant willingness to help wherever needed. Michael Hudspeth
At Exodus Family Ministries, he is blessed to serve the community in a hands‑on, compassionate way. He helps transport individuals to the facility and ensures they have access to essentials like clothing, showers, shoes, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, and other items that help them stay safe in all kinds of weather.
But more than anything, what he cherishes most is walking alongside people in their moments of need. Whether they’re struggling, searching, or simply trying to make it through the day, he strives to show the love, care, and understanding that God calls us to share. And the truth is, they bless him just as much as he hopes to bless them.
