The Bible tells us to love our neighbors and help them, even if they don’t return the favor. Matthew 5:41 states “Whoever compels you to go
one mile, go with him two.” This passage means that if you only do what is required, you’ll be like everyone else. It is when you go above and beyond what is expected that will you stand out and make a difference.
It is easy to love your neighbor, but the “second mile” requires us to also love our enemies. The “first mile” is doing good to those who
do good to you, but the “second mile” encourages you to help those who may have harmed you. The “first mile” is blessing those
who bless you; whereas the “second mile” is about praying for those who may have used you. Help us show God’s love here on Earth
by going the second mile on August 2nd and EVERY DAY
