Other Ways to Give

There are many ways to support Exodus Family Ministries and our efforts to guide our neighbors in Southwest Louisville out of captivity – whether it be poverty, addiction, lack of education, hunger, or other forms of oppression.

Gifts may be made in the form of: cash, check, charge, or via appreciated stock, bequests, beneficiary designations, in-kind donations, or company matches.

If you have questions, please reach out to us via email or call us at 502.614.8544. You can also make an online donation.

Corporate/Church Giving

Many businesses, organizations, and churches choose to support Exodus Family Ministries as a way to give back within the community and show their compassion for those who are struggling with food, clothing, or housing insecurities. Consider making a donation through:

  • Sponsorships: We have a number of sponsorship opportunities for our annual events. These sponsorships are a great way to gain business exposure and offer your employees a chance to be involved in fun and worthwhile activities.
  • Matching Gifts: Many companies offer matching gift programs to increase the impact of their employees’ donations. Please check with your employer to see if matching funds can be applied to your gift.
  • Employee/Member Giving Programs & Volunteering: Companies that hold employee giving campaigns are encouraged to add Exodus Family Ministries as a giving option. Additionally, if your employees or church members are looking for volunteer opportunities to combine with their funding support, Exodus has multiple involvement options per month. They can join in any of our ongoing efforts, such as serving in our food pantry or clothing closet, or we can work with them to customize other meaningful ways to give back – like collecting food, clothes, or warming supplies, or assembling snack packs or hygiene kits for our unsheltered neighbors. We welcome the support!
  • In-kind Gifts: We are grateful for in-kind support, as well. Many businesses and other supporters choose to donate goods or services to be used in our programs, at our events, or in our ongoing operations, like gas cards or meals. Please reach out to discuss in-kind giving possibilities.

Planned Giving

We appreciate the opportunity to get to know our donors and learn what our programs mean to them. If you’d like to discuss ways to ensure that certain programs remain or are able to grow in the future, we encourage you to think about a legacy gift, where you leave a charitable gift to us in your will or estate plan. You can make a planned gift through bequests, charitable trusts, donor advised funds, gifts of stock, or IRA Charitable Distributions if alive or as a beneficiary when the donor passes away.

To make a planned gift to Exodus Family Ministries:

  • Please call us at 502.614.8544. We’ll discuss your wishes and how you want to make a lasting legacy through our organization.
  • Update your will or living trust so it reflects your charitable intentions.
  • Contact your financial advisor, lawyer, or accountant and ask for help establishing a charitable gift. If you need assistance getting started, contact us.
  • Consider a gift of stock, insurance policies, and/or personal property or name us as the beneficiary of your life insurance, pension plan, or IRA.

Tribute and Memorial Giving

Making gifts in honor or memory of a loved one is a special way to honor the achievements or passing of someone important to you. Such gifts can be a fitting, personal way to acknowledge their impact. Consider making a tribute gift to celebrate a birthday, wedding anniversary, birth of a baby, or other special occasions, or in memory of someone.

When you send us a charitable gift as a tribute or memorial, your donation will be recognized with a thank you letter. If you like, the person or family you are commemorating can also receive notice that a gift was made (the amount will not be shared).
